The main purpose of our department is to the raise awareness of the students participating in the program at the secondary education level and to provide the necessary basic physics knowledge, as well as to update the physics education at all levels of secondary education and higher education within the requirements of modern science and to be successful in business life with elective courses to be opened as well as providing consultancy in this direction. to increase their chances.

It is also among the concrete aims of our department to compete with other physics programs in our country by providing basic physics education that is aware of today's technology with our curriculum compatible with the Bologna process. In addition, organizing seminars / introductory days / conferences attended by national and international experts on current scientific and technological development.

Our students' being employed in various R&D institutions, expanding their scientific thought infrastructures and being candidates for academics in universities are also accepted as the success criteria of our department. Our department claims to take part in globalization by collaborating with other departments of our university, other universities and foreign institutions in research projects and to raise the bar of education at undergraduate and graduate levels with its dynamic structure.

Thanks to the education that our students receive in the department, they also follow the knowledge in the field, especially the knowledge required in the field of other basic sciences, the ability to detect a physical problem and produce solutions, the individual and / or team work ethics, the ability to follow and learn the developments in technology and science, and the ability to access information easily. It is aimed to be individuals who have the knowledge of foreign languages ​​at a level that they can use and communicate with their colleagues, and hence, they can become employees with more qualifications in their jobs.

Changes can be made in the curriculum of the department when necessary, in line with the information obtained, by checking whether graduate students and the institutions they work with can be reached by checking whether they have achieved the department's goals.

Our department has a staff of 9 professors, 5 associate professors, 5 assistant professors, a total of 19 faculty members and 10 research assistants, and 1 specialist. Our department has a physical education infrastructure dating back to 1982. 9 of 10 Research Assistants completed their Doctoral Education. Master's and doctorate studies are also continuing at the international level. Through the Trakya University Research and Development Center, which was opened in 2013, it has become possible to provide our students with information that will enable them to find jobs with the devices used in modern technology and the analyzes needed in the industry.

Graduates will be able to employ in Research and Development Institutions, Technology Consultancy and Implementation Companies, Education Consultancy Units, Government Institutions-Research Technologies Units, Technology Infrastructure Companies. Thanks to the double major and minor programs and foreign language, the width and flexibility to be gained in the business spectrums will offer other alternatives to our students' choice of profession.

In order to graduate from the program, students have to take and pass at least 240 ECTS credits in the curriculum. There is an optional internship application in the curriculum of the program. Our students can do their internship in the fields of Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology and Biophysics in our University Hospital. Program Qualifications are determined according to TYYÇ.
